Disciples so often get into trouble;still, GOD is there every time.
Psalm 34:19 (The Message)
I have always loved writing since I was a child. My fourth grade teacher told me he wanted to take me to New York City to help me become a writer. I am not sure why he said that, or if that was exactly what he had in mind, but I have been writing my first book for over a year now. It's a devotional. I am posting this blog today to encourage everyone reading it that no matter how challenging life gets, God will always provide a way out.
Although I have occasional problems, I don’t let those problems have me. Take this as the assurance and encouragement you need that no matter what you are facing today, God’s wisdom will give you the answer and the way out. How do I know? Because that is exactly what He has done for me for as long as I can remember. My mother died when I was nine- months-old and God has always provided for me. He never let me down. Now that I am a mother, I promised God I would tell everyone, how good He really is. Here is an excerpt from my first (real) book. I pray you enjoy it.
I’m going to be real now. This was my morning. I yelled at my six-year-old son for his constant whining and complaining for having to get up and go to school. We have a daily routine where he makes his bed, gets dressed, brushes his teeth, washes his face, combs his hair, brings his Bible to the breakfast table and then we fellowship, eat breakfast and read together before he goes to school. We have been doing this for over four years now and some days it’s a major ordeal for him to do it willingly with a good attitude. So this morning I “blew it” and yelled at him and then I started crying. Then he started crying. So we both asked each other for forgiveness and prayed and everything was better. Mind you, I've had a cold for a few days and have been staying up working on the computer until two in the morning marketing an internet business that a Christian friend recommended. She made $2800 in one week. I should have used wisdom because as of the date of this writing, four days into the business I’ve only made $80 spending four exhausting nights on the computer after working all day.
Sorry, back to today. Then I jumped into my truck to drop off my son at school, and gas was pouring out of the bottom of my engine all the way there and all the way back. Then when I opened the door, the handle broke! All within the first two and a half hours of my day!
You have to understand, in life there won’t be an absence of problems, however God will give you the wisdom you need to overcome those problems if you ask Him to.
So this is what I did. I laughed instead of screaming. Instead of meditating on what was going wrong, I got out my Bible and prayed. Then I was led to read Proverbs 8. I started to remind myself and the devil (out loud) that God has always been faithful to me. I rehearsed my testimonies like David in the Bible did. Now and I KNOW God will see me through. You too will get to that point of peace if you stay in the Word and surround yourself with people who know God, and not know of God.
By the way, I am going to be getting a new vehicle very soon-- praise God!
Meditate on: Psalm 34:19, Proverbs 8: 1-36, Philippians 4:19.
Prayer For Today: Lord, help me not to be afraid when challenges come. Please give me the wisdom I need to over come them. In Jesus name, AMEN.
Confession For Today: Father I thank you that you always hear my prayers and even now you are taking care of all my needs.
Many Blessings to you in 2009!
